#10. English was one of my favorite subjects growing up in school. I always enjoyed writing papers – narratives, creative stories, even research papers on criminal justice and intelligence topics or political and current events.
#9. Currently, I am an Essentials Tutor for our Classical Conversations Homeschool community. This means, I teach 4th-6th grade English grammar and composition!
#8. I enjoy research and learning new subjects.
#7. I have over 12 years of experience in the law enforcement world. I was a police officer in St. Louis County, Missouri and a Cold Case Investigator for the Alaska State Troopers. I can easily write about anything related to these fields.
#6. I am an avid news junkie. I enjoy reading across numerous platforms and sites in order to form my own opinion and analysis of current events.
#5. My family and I are all about adventure and experiences. We love to travel. We have owned, at different times, two general aviation airplanes, three RV campers, two boats, kayaks, canoes, tents, traveling backpacks, four wheeler ATV and countless suburbans along with all kinds of techie gear. If you need a review on a product or location, I’m your woman!
#4. Before I was married, I lived abroad in Russia and my husband lived abroad in Kazakhstan. We both speak, read and write Russian. We thoroughly enjoy immersing ourselves into new cultures, eating new foods, learning new languages and customs from the people around us.
#3. Home school…I could write about the good, the bad and the ugly days until the cows come home! We’ve schooled from preschool till the 4th grade. It started with one kid, then two kids, then three and four kids. We have been reviewed and evaluated by state entities from Alaska to Maryland. We’ve been around the home school block.
#2. I am a believer in Jesus Christ and a daughter of God. My life experiences, both good and not so good, are all intertwined with God and I wouldn’t change a thing.
